Canara Bank has released the notification for Engagement of Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for FY 2026-27.

A total of 3,500 Graduate Apprentice seats are available. Eligible graduates can apply online through the prescribed application process.

Important Vacancy Points

• The number of seats is provisional.
• Vacancies may change according to the Bank's requirement.
• Candidates can apply for training in only one State.
• Candidates can provide preferences for districts within the selected State.

Qualification

Candidates must fulfil the following eligibility conditions:

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree/Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
• Graduation must have been completed between 01 January 2023 and 01 September 2026.
• Candidates must meet the required minimum marks mentioned in the notification.
• Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act are not eligible.
• Candidates with one year or more of work experience after completing their educational qualification are not eligible.
• Candidates must have the required knowledge of the local language of the State for which they apply.

Selection Process

The selection will be based mainly on merit, followed by verification and other required formalities.

1. State-Wise Merit List

• Canara Bank will prepare a State-wise merit list.
• Merit will be prepared based on marks obtained in 12th Standard (HSC/10+2) or Diploma.
• If two candidates have the same percentage, the older candidate will get preference.

2. Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for document verification.

Candidates must produce their original documents and certificates.

3. Local Language Test

• Candidates who studied the required local language in 10th or 12th standard can provide the relevant marksheet/certificate.
• Candidates without such proof will have to qualify the Local Language Test during document verification.

4. Medical Fitness

Final engagement will be subject to the candidate being declared medically fit as required by Canara Bank.
